When I first thought about bringing DIY kits to the people, I did a lot of thinking about the kind of projects women and children would love. Love to make, love to have, love to use, love to look at.
If I was to grab a mission statement out of the air it would be the famous Willam Morris quote "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful".
Too many crafty projects are just - well awful, and serve no purpose other than to collect dust or be shoved towards the back of the cupboard. Don't worry, we're all guilty of it!
This ring cone kit takes a lump of clay  and turns it into a beautiful accessory piece that you will be happy to have in your bedroom or bathroom.  An ugly cuckling - beautiful swan scenario.Â
Easy to follow instructions and your own sheet of paint ideas make this a fun project to create. Better still, get some friends around and see what patterns/words or blobs inspire them to paint on their ring cones. The nice thing is no two will ever be the same and because there's enough clay to make three cones, you can keep a few and gift a few. Birthday gift for the best friend - TICK.
Lately, I've been working on some new DIY projects with leather and some fun and novel ways of using it - so watch this space peeps!
